Well before bragging anything let me tell you here PIN is Politically Inclined News... and its trending!! Why n How?? Because this time we have elections and thus it will continue in coming days ;)

In India, its really sometimes very confusing to understand whether media really do their job wholeheartedly...! Often they are accused for highlighting nonsensical news. If this not, then Celebs questions them on invading privacy. If this is not enough then a political party will take them to the self-created horizon, by any mean. Its really not clear they really have any independent functionality or they have some guidelines which they follows.

The media as a whole performs a crucial role of presenting ideas and alternatives, while keeping people informed, in country's policy formulation and its implementation. But at present times when we have social networking sites, how much its easy for news media to confuse or deviate common people...? Is it not true that most of the news are politically inclined, then how come they are questioned and are labelled as "paid-media"? I believe in these changing times, it is important for news media to be alive to the challenges of technology. Whenever news are expressed boldly, a statement will come from a politician that there's need for "self-correcting" mechanism, but what about themselves who abuse another politician publicly. How much they look for "self-correcting" mechanism. On one side, there're regulations for everybody but how far any politician/bureaucrats follows them?

The major question hovers that if a particular news has been paid, then who paid them and for what purpose? If that media was paid for a news, it simply means that there's no uniformity in regulations of news publishing. I believe that's how comes the competition of howling of "Breaking News", where any channel themselves conduct a sting operation and other channel portrays it as paid-attempt. Its true that nation faces critical challenges after every "Breaking News" or any immediate headlines hence they need to understand that they are responsible for nation building. They're just like a crystal ball which are gazed by millions, hence they should adopt an honest business policy. Political parties should also refrain from indulging in illegal means of promotion through news media, because this is the main reason when we see a channel is focussing on a particular party and its candidates. Media will also stop sensationalizing when there'll be no lullaby from any politician. I admit that nobody can run business only on moral grounds, hence a strict regulations should be followed to keep regular check on display of news. The lacking of such system results in different interpretation of a news on each channel.

We all understand that sensationalism should never become a substitute for truthful reporting, but in reality can we deny the fact that at present time most of the news presenter are politically guided..? If you search for any famous news presenter, you will see that they are associated with a particular party and they host the shows or news keeping in mind about their favorites. So why shouldn't we say that both these politicians and news media are complimentary to each other. They just play a blame-game to confuse the common people. Moreover, what I have observed, often these issues creep when any political party's image has been gangraped by any media, or if any controversy is shaping up. But tell me, out of 24 hours how many times you find news of such types which really affects your daily life..? News media being mediator between public and public servants, they should work as watchdog of public interest but this happens only once in every year. How many times news media honestly gives importance to the downtrodden and dispossessed? Even if they try to cover such stories they will first consider the TRPs and political involvements. Infact if you make list of news headlines, you can see that most of the time gloomy and darker sides dominate news coverage.

At present time, news media really need a conscious effort to highlight the positive sides in society and inspire changes for the better. Otherwise, I believe in coming days people will start their own news coverage on all social networking sites. Now everybody is equipped with camera phone and RTI is enough to screw all bureaucracy. If this starts trending then.... :D The power of social media could be handful for a nationwide endeavour to establish a healthy society, hence its time we shouldn't blindly follow any news or any politician...! :)
